Craftsman marine stern tunnel

Description

Craftsman Marine supplies bow tunnels in different lengths and diameters. The diameter of the tunnel depends on the thruster chosen.

Tubes are made from GRV (glassfiber reinforced vinylester). The new stern thruster tunnels are build in sandwich construction.
Glass fibers are reinforced with foam-filled polyester.

Because of this choice, they not only look good but also help reduce noise.

The large radius at the tunnel ends reduces turbulence at high speeds. Stern thruster tunnels are available for 150mm and 185mm thrusters.

Shallow draft vessels can still use the stern tunnel but need an additional deflector kit. These additional covers are mounted on the tunnel and minimize the amount of false air being sucked into the tunnel. The waterflow out of the tunnel is slightly deflected downwards to have maximum effect
